Historical Data: Peremys'kyj (-Zahorods'kyj) Deanery, then Medyc'kyj Deanery after World War I. The wooden church was built in 1862/67, replacing an older wooden church of the same name which existed at least as early as [1828]. It is now destroyed.

BAKHIR (Bachurz), povit Bereziv

        NATIVITY OF THE BVM

Historical Data: Birchans'kyj Deanery, then Dynivs'kyj Deanery after World War I. The masonry church was built in 1846 and was renovated in 1833. A masonry rectory with 5 rooms and a kitchen, was built in 1891. Nothing of the church now remains. On January 23, 1593, the owner, Katerina Waposka, ordered that all of the people in Izdebky, Lubna, Hludno, Bakhir Varja and the suburb of Dyniv would all have to become Latin rite, and that all baptisms would have to be performed by a Latin rite priest. The parish in Bakhir-Dyniv was re-established in 1645 by the owner of the villages, Nicholas Waposki. The church in Dyniv was so diminished that in 1812, after the death of the pastor, o. Teodor Ibovych, it was made a filial church. 37

The parish was incorporated into the Administration of Lemkivshchyna in 1934.

Dyniv - St. George 5 km from Bakhir The masonry church (now destroyed) was built in 1910, replacing an older wooden church which had been built in 1844. It was an independent parish until 1812, when it was made a filial church of Bakhir In 1878-1880, there was a mass transition to the Latin rite. In 1785 there were 15.29 sq km., 120 Ukr. Catholics, 1,493 Latin rite Catholics and 590 Jews. Parish.

        SYNAXIS OF THE BVM

Historical Data: Porokhnyc'kyj Deanery. The church was built in 1842, replacing an earlier chapel owned by Countess Carolina Dembinska. It is now destroyed. After the death of the pastor, o. Jakiv Paslavs'kyj, the parish was made a chapel. The last pastor, o. Anatol' Sembratovych was killed during the ethnic cleansing in 1945.38

BELZ (Betz), povit Sokal'

DESCENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Historical Data: Belz'kyj Deanery. Betz belonged to the Eparchy of Kholm until 1772, the time of the first partition of Poland when the new boundary placed it in the Russian Empire. In fact, the official title of the Eparchy of Kholm was Kholm and Betz", which was retained even after Betz was transferred to the Eparchy of Peremyshl'. The church was built in 1623-35 and was renovated in 1900. The cemetery chapel of St. Paraskevija was built in the 18th century.
