St. Michael the Archangel

SMILNYK
The tserkva in Smilnyk is a fine example of the Boyko sacral architecture. The tserkva is of three room log construction, with two stories. It is beautifully located on top of a hill, away from the road, and on the site of an older structure from 1601. Prior to the banishment of the Ukrainian population after W.W.II, it served 600 souls. Since 1971 it has been used as a kostel.
