POLYANCHYK
Prior to W.W.II, the tserkva in Polyanchyk possessed 125 acres of land to support the parish priest, and served about 500 Ukrainian souls. Today the tserkva is converted to a Polish kostel under the patronage of the Mother of God, and is adorned by many Ukrainian icons and fixtures from the tserkva in Lopyanka (see page 135). The icons include one of the Mother of God with Child, which has been claimed to be miraculous.
