St. Nicholas, the Miracle Worker

HOSHIV
The tserkva in Hoshiv is of Hutsul style, and features three rooms and three stories. The tserkva also boasts a wide overhang of "opasanya", all the way around the structure. This tserkva was used as a model for the one built in the village of Hladyshiv in 1938. To support the church and the parish priest, 75 acres of land were donated by the Baranovs'kyj family in 1744. In addition to this, the parishioners, who numbered only 200, donated two oatmeal loaves of bread per week to help support the parish priest. In 1970, the tserkva was converted to a Polish kostel
