 | The Ukrainian population of Habkivtsi was forcefully evacuated by Polish authorities and the tserkva was dismantled and even its foundation stones were piled up in a heap. The cross from the tserkva we found nailed to an ancient linden tree. To me, this cross symbolizes the faith of Ukrainians in present day Poland. |
